The list of 2017 highly cited researchers (https://clarivate.com/hcr/2017-researchers-list/) has recently appear and we are happy to communicate that two researcher from INAM are in the list. Prof. Juan Bisquert, director of INAM, and Assoc. Prof. Iván Mora-Seró, group leader in INAM, are among the just 3000 scientist in the World in all the scientific areas appearing in this prestigious list that highlight the researcher that have published most highly cited papers in the last 10 years. These papers are just the papers ranked in the top 1% with most citations and consequently the papers that have influenced most the current research. Juan Bisquest is the fourth time in a row that appears in the list, while Iván Mora-Seró has appeared twice in a row. The list is especially important in comparison with other rankings as it is taking into account to prepare the Shanghai ranking of Universities (http://www.shanghairanking.com/ARWU2016.html). In fact the presence of both INAM researchers and also of Victors Flors, all them from the University Jaume I (UJI) has been very important to promote UJI in the top 1000 of Shanghai ranking in 2016 by first time. Less than 60 researchers working in Spanish institutions come out in the list and just 5 in the area of Chemistry in which both Juan and Iván are ranked. Just 5 researchers working in the Valencian Region appear in the list. From our point of view this is a clear indicator of the first line research carried out in INAM. Juan and Iván want to acknowledge all the INAM colleagues and collaborators as they have been fundamental to reach this outcome.
