Research Group Energy and Advanced Materials

The main work of the team is the investigation and modeling of fundamental mechanisms governing the operation of several electronic materials and devices. The research program involves synthesis of different energy-related materials and their incorporation into devices with advanced functionalities: solar cells solar cells, memory devices and XRD detectors for medical applications,.... The team combines experimental investigation and theoretical/numerical tools to develop insights in the electronic processes, joining novel theory of semiconductor nanostructures, photoelectrochemistry, and systematic experimental demonstration.

Eligibility criteria (mandatory)
- Graduated or Master degree in Materials science, Electric Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.

Technical Requirements
- Knowledge in materials synthesis and able to follow stablished synthetic protocols.
- Knowledge in structural, electrical and/or optical characterization (XRD, NMR, j-v curves, UV absorption).

General skills:
- Strongly motivated to develop a scientific research career.
- Excellent academic results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Intermediate/Proficiency in English language, written and spoken.

Duration: depends on funding availability, participation in PhD program is possible in some positions.
Working hours: 37,5/ week (full time)
