Students interested in conducting their doctoral training at the Institute are encourage to enrol in the Doctoral Programme in Science from the Doctoral School of UJI . The Doctoral School of UJI offers a cross-disciplinary training programme aimed at future doctors in order to facilitate their acquisition of different type of skills.

INAM has planned a training program for PhD students interested in developing their doctoral studies on Advanced Materials and Innovative applications.
By joining INAM, PhD students will have a thesis advisory committee, consisting of the INAM Principal Investigator and another advisor (tutor) from any INAM research divisions and/or external centres. This mentoring system will provide a cross-fertilization of ideas for interdisciplinary projects.

INAM has designed a plan to offer to PhD students a set of cross-disciplinary activities that provides a homogeneous set of skills, indicating the type of highly experienced multidisciplinary scientists that INAM aims to produce in the different areas of research developed in the institution.

The cross-disciplinary actions include:

  • 1) Cross-discipline training: Trainees will acquire a broad perspective of the status of Advanced Materials for their application in energy, catalysis and optoelectronics.
  • 2) Soft skills: Training activities in literature searches, experimental design and scientific writing, communication skills. Contemporary statistical tools and science epistemology and translational skills (IP, knowledge transfer, social and economic policy, marketing, etc.). Students will be also encouraged to enrol in the different courses given by institutions at UJI (FUE-UJI).
  • 3) Participation in weekly lab meetings and internal seminars: ensures continuity and appropriate management of research projects. English is always the language of operation.
  • 4) External Seminars: organized regularly with invited prominent national and international speakers. View
  • 5) Mentoring skills: PhD students will supervise at least two undergraduate students from the undergraduate training courses.View courses
  • 6) Complementary courses. Impedance Spectroscopy School and Safety and Prevention Courses (organized by INAM). Prevention and Risk Course (organized by UJI). Advanced courses on analytical techniques acquired by INAM . Courses - Events - Permanent events - Seminars (GC, HPLC, etc).

PhD students interested in academia and teaching are be encourage to enrol in the Young Teachers Course from the Unidad de Soporte Educativo. Participation in the program is voluntary and free. It is a two-years course structured in face-to-face training and tutoring and advice.
