INAM is looking for future candidates to apply for diferent Predoc Positions to develop your research career with us.
First. Purpose and Duration
1.1. Collaborate on projects under the research group INAM (Institute of Advanced Materials) as a predoctoral researcher in training, Group A, Subgroup A1.
• Responsibilities: The research will focus on understanding the physicochemical properties of electrochemical devices using electrochemical and optoelectronic methods. Advanced electrical techniques, such as impedance spectroscopy and other modulated or transient response techniques, will be explored, along with the modeling and simulation of the electrical and optoelectronic response. The candidate will gain experience in performing opto/electrical and photoelectrochemical measurements, data analysis, and simulations using specialized software. Knowledge of analytical techniques for identifying chemical species in solution and surface characterization techniques will also be valued.
1.2. The duration of contracts derived from this pool will depend on project duration and budget availability. 1.3. A trial period will be established in accordance with current labor legislation.
Second. Requirements
Those interested in applying must meet the following requirements:
2.1 Hold university degrees (bachelor's and master's) in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent. Degrees obtained abroad must have a recognized equivalence or credential indicating approval or equivalency.
• This requirement does not apply to candidates whose qualifications have been recognized within the regulated professions under EU law.
• In cases where foreign degrees are not yet approved or recognized at the time of application, it is sufficient to provide proof of application for recognition if the degree is presumed equivalent. The contract will be terminated if the competent authority denies recognition or sets conditions for recognition that are not met.
• For predoctoral contracts, the contract may be signed without degree homologation if the UJI verifies the foreign degree meets the educational standards of a Spanish master’s degree and allows access to doctoral studies in the awarding country. This does not imply the homologation or recognition of the previous degree for any purpose other than access to a predoctoral contract.
2.2 Completion of a master’s degree is required by the time of final contract formalization. 2.3 Candidates must not already hold a doctoral degree. 2.4 All requirements must be met by the application deadline and remain in effect until the employment contract is signed.
• Any discrepancies or inaccuracies in the submitted documentation found after the list of admitted and excluded candidates has been approved, even after the selection process is completed, will result in exclusion without the possibility of rectification.
Third. Preferred Qualifications
Research experience in:
• Electrical and electrochemical techniques for (photo)electrochemical device measurement.
• Physical modeling and simulation of electrical response.
• Opto/electrical measurements of electrochemical and related devices.
• Spectroscopic measurements (UV-Vis, IR, FTIR).
• Programming in LabView, Python, or Matlab.
• XRD, SEM, TEM measurements.
Candidates sought are:
• Highly motivated to pursue a career in scientific research.
• With excellent academic performance in bachelor’s and master’s studies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
