The contract is carried out within the framework of the EYRP programme, an international postdoctoral fellowship programme that aims to attract talented scientific staff to develop their two-year project at the universities of the EDUC Alliance in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The PhD candidate will be integrated into a research group - Group of PhotoActive Materials for Energy (PHAME) - with a multidisciplinary and dynamic environment, specifically in the research line of materials for the sustainable production and conversion of energy, and will be responsible for coordinating the related activities in this area, actively contributing to the implementation of strategies to improve the functionality of the materials studied in the group, with a view to their possible technological exploitation.
The PhD candidate will be responsible for defining and supervising the activities of PhD students and will have access to advanced characterization techniques to delve into the most fundamental aspects of these materials, including measurement campaigns in large facilities such as synchrotron radiation sources.
Financial support is included for a research stay at the Institut de Physique de Rennes (IPR), part of the University of Rennes and the CNRS, under the supervision of Dr. Ernest Pastor (CNRS Chair Junior Professor). The stay will last at least 3 months.
In addition to scientific supervision at the Universitat Jaume I, the doctor will have a mentor who will help him or her to focus on his or her professional development.

Priority will be given to candidates who have completed their PhD no more than 3 years before the deadline of the call for applications (excluding situations of illness and parental leave).
