On April 11th, 2025, the Institute of Advanced Materials (INAM) hosted the third edition of its multidisciplinary seminar series, "Recent Advances in Materials and Sustainability for the Future" (RAMS). This event was specially designed for PhD students, providing them with a welcoming platform to share their research through 15-minute presentations. One student from each INAM research group was selected to present their latest findings and offer an overview of their work. Additionally, a poster exhibition took place during the coffee break, creating an excellent opportunity for attendees to discover shared research interests and explore potential collaborations.
This edition was organized by Dr. Sergio Gonell, Dr. Carmen Mejuto, and Dr. Ana Gutiérrez, whose dedication was crucial in ensuring the event’s success. The initiative also received financial support from the Group of Young Chemist Researchers (JIQ), part of the Spanish Royal
Society of Chemistry (RSEQ).
This year’s speakers impressed the audience with high-quality presentations, delivering clear insights and showcasing cutting-edge research with great potential. The poster session fostered dynamic interactions among participants, sparking ideas for future collaborative
work.
Events like RAMS play a vital role in encouraging collaboration across research groups and helping PhD students develop the confidence and communication skills necessary to present their work publicly. At INAM, we are deeply committed to supporting these kinds of initiatives
and strive to provide our students with the most comprehensive training possible.
