Advanced Materials Laboratory course (40 hours, 3rd year students)

OBJECTIVE
This course is aimed at students of the third year of the Degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. The objective of the course is to deepen in the study of catalytic and photo-active materials. In the first place, an introductory talk will be given about the course. Likewise, the students will be trained in the principles of the operation of the technology that will be developed during the course. Next, a research workshop will be conducted within the research lines of the Institute of Advanced Materials, where students will make their own catalytic and photo-active materials and molecules. Afterwards, the students will characterize their own materials through the common characterization techniques used in research laboratories. Finally, a report will be prepared where they will train the skills in the preparation of technical and research reports. With this course, the participants will have a real contact with an advanced research of high scientific impact. The course is 40 hours, recognized with 2 credits.
