Bio and research interests
Ana María Sánchez (ReserchearID N-2731-2017) studied Biology at Valencia University. She obtained her Master's Degree (1993) and PhD (1997) at the University of Bristol (UK). As a postdoctoral, Ana spent 3 years at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF, USA); 1 year at University of Padova (Italy). She was a researcher in the CIPF institute (Valencia, Spain). Ana joined the University of Jaume I (Castellon, Spain) in September 2012, where she coordinates the Neurobiotechnology research group. Ana has published over 50 papers, with 1700 citations and h-index of 22. Her current interest is the development of new biotechnology tools, (AAV derived particles, DNA nanoparticles) in synergy with pharmacological interventions, aiming to significantly improve brain-mental health. Ana has recently joined the INAM where she collaborates in the development of novel plastic-degrading enzymes.
