Andrea Pino Jarque

Bio and research interests
Andrea Pino Jarque received a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering (2021) from Universitat Jaume I (Spain). In 2023 she graduated from the OfficialMaster in Design and Manufacturing from Universitat Jaume I (Spain). In 2021 she was hired as a part of the Interaction and Robotic Systems Laboratory (IRS-Lab) research group’s team at University Jaume I, where she worked as Research Support Personnel in a contract signed with the Ministry of Defense (“SIMBAAD”, 2020-2022) and in a Valencian government funded project (GVA-THINKINAZUL/2021/037,2022-2025). In 2023 she was hired as superior research technician for the GID-Green Investigation and Development research group. Andrea Pino also participated in other projects of the IRS-Lab as a member of the work team from 2021 to 2023, including (PID2020-115332RB-C31, 2021-2024) and (H2020 EURATOM1 (ID: 945320)) In 2023 she has enrolled in the Doctoral Programme in Industrial Technologies and Materials at UJI where she will be following the Design, Mechanical and Construction research line, focusing in the underwater robotic design for aquaculture. During her time at the Universitat Jaume I she has been working in the design and development of some surface vehicles for marine applications and supporting the integration of robotic devices. Throughout 2024, she has been focused on developing her thesis, specifically on creating solutions for underwater navigation and developing sensors for underwater monitoring. Her research interests are centered on innovation and education, focused on underwater robotics design, robotic biomimicry and sensorization and she is author or co-author of some publications in congresses regarding these subjects.
