Bio and research interests
Gianluca Palmara received his M.Sc. degree in Molecular Biology in 2012 from the University of Turin and his Ph.D. degree in 2016 from the Polytechnic University of Turin. He is an experienced researcher in biotechnology applications for the detection of small molecules and has expertise in the immobilisation of biomolecules (e.g., enzymes, antibodies, aptamers) on various material substrates (i.e., silicon, gold, 3D printed polymers). Currently, he is focusing on the realization of biocatalytic platforms for the environmentally sustainable generation of added-value chemicals under a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) project.
