Ignacio Sanjuán Moltó

Bio and research interests
Ignacio Sanjuán Moltó graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (B.Sc.) in 2014 and obtained a Master's degree in Electrochemistry (M.Sc.) in 2015 from the University of Alicante. He also holds a Ph.D. in Electrochemistry (2020) from the same university. During his Ph.D., he collaborated with Aguas de Valencia S.A. to develop an electrochemical treatment for the reject water from an Electrodialysis Reverse (EDR) plant. He also completed a three-month research visit to the "Laboratoire Interfaces et Systèmes Electrochimiques (LISE)" at Sorbonne University/CNRS in Paris, where he gained expertise in the Scanning Electrochemical Microscope (SECM). For the past four years, he has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, contributing to various projects focused on the electrocatalysis of reactions such as CO2 electroreduction, alcohol electrooxidation, and water splitting. Ignacio has co-authored 21 publications in high-impact international journals (Scopus h-index: 10), holds a Spanish invention patent, and has contributed to more than 20 national and international scientific conferences. In September 2024, he joined the AMSY group at INAM (University Jaume I) as a postdoctoral researcher on the NEUROVISIONM project, where he will develop novel halide perovskite-based memristor devices for intelligent vision in surface neuromorphic computing.
