Advanced Research course (100 hours, 2nd year students)

OBJECTIVE
This course is a continuation of the Starting Research course and is aimed at students of the second year of the Degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. The objective of the course is to train attendees to acquire the required skills for working in a research project based on the development of advanced materials for innovative applications. Firstly, the student will attend a talk where the different research lines of the Institute of Advanced Materials will be presented. Next, the students will perform a research stay in one of the Research Units of the institute, where they will work together with a PhD student in the preparation and characterization of materials for specific applications. Finally, the students will prepare a report about their project. With this course, the students will be in direct contact with a research project in the field of advanced materials and their applications. Besides, they will be also trained in the preparation of research reports. The course duration is 100 hours, recognized with 2 credits.
