This July, one of 1 st Bachillerat, visited INAM as part of the phase 2 of the the Young and science program organized and funded by the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera. This program aims to boost the scientific potential of gifted school students, bringing talented students together with researchers from some of the best institutions in the world immersed in the serenity and beauty of the Pyrenees in a first stage, which is followed by a research stay at renowned institutions around the world. Dr. Javier Durantini and Dr. Camilo A. Mesa hosted the students Luana Rami and Martina Riera to work on the electrochemical valorization of biodiesel wastewater and the reduction of CO2 coupled with the degradation of organic contaminants, respectively. The students not only participated in research activities in Prof. Sixto Giménez group, but also presented their results in the fortnightly group meeting.
