Summary/Abstract:
CO2VAL will provide novel solutions to these challenges by putting forward a completely novel methodology for developing sustainable catalytic systems (SCS), where the process design is considered integrally from the molecular to the macroscopic levels. It will combine earth-abundant molecular catalysts immobilized on active polymeric ionic liquids (PILs), with extremely efficient 3D-printed flow reactors based on the catalytic PIL materials to enhance the capture and activation of CO2 under mild conditions to yield pure FA and also concentrated MeOH solutions.
