Professor Iván Sorribes, Principal Investigator at the Institute of Advances Materials (INAM) and group leader of the Materials for Sustainable Chemistry group (MatSusChem) at the University Jaume I is seeking for a candidate to pursue a research contract in the area of chemistry and materials science. The research project deals with the preparation and characterization of advanced materials with high control at the nanoscale and their application as heterogeneous catalysts for the development of hydrogen storage systems and for transition metal-catalyzed organic synthesis.
Doctoral contract focused on the training of life cycle sustainability assessment of new materials and processes developed in the Q-Solutions project.
The Spintronics for Advanced Devices (SPINAD) group at University Jaume I in Castellon, Spain, is
seeking candidates to pursue an experimental PhD in Antiferromagnetic Spintronic Devices. The position is
part of the CIDEGENT grant Emerging Spintronic Device Concepts for Neuromorphic Computing, which
will be conducted at the Institute of Advanced Materials-UJI. The proposed research sits at the edge between
material science, physics, and engineering and will focus on the ultrafast dynamics of antiferromagnetic
The main goal of the Grisolia PhD project is to optimize (photo)electrocatalytic routes that allow obtaining added value compounds for the industry from the oxidation and reduction of compounds derived directly from biomass, without the use of sacrificial agents. As a first approximation, it will be studied 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) as starting material, both for oxidation and reduction. The specific objectives of the project are:
Doctoral fellowships in the formation of neural networks with halide perovskites (ERC AdG project)
Postdoctoral fellowships in the formation of neural networks with halide perovskites (ERC AdG project)
PhD Position – Santiago Grisolia Program: Closing Date: 31 May 2023
Research Group Energy and Advanced Materials
The main focus of the team is the investigation and modeling of fundamental electrical mechanisms of different semiconductors and electronic devices. The team combines synthesis of new materials and devices with theoretical/numerical tools to develop insights into the electronic processes.
Post doc positions. Deadline: 17/04/2023
Research Group Energy and Advanced Materials
The main focus of the team is the investigation and modeling of fundamental mechanisms
governing the operation of several electronic materials and devices. The team combines
experimental investigation and theoretical/numerical tools to develop insights into the electronic
processes, joining novel theory of semiconductor nanostructures, photoelectrochemistry, and
systematic experimental demonstration.
A postdoctoral position is available to work on a collaborative project between the Bioinspired Supramolecular Chemistry and Materials Group (BIOSUPRAMAT-INAM) and the Molecular Materials Group at the Department of Physical and Analytical Chemistry of Universitat Jaume I, under the supervision of Prof. Beatriu Escuder and Prof. Rosa Llusar.
